For fans of First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston and Every Last Secret by A.R. Torre.
A dark, steamy psychological thriller novel.
“The plot is brilliant, sexy, and terrifyingly suspenseful…”
Midwest Book Reviews (Shelly Glodowski)
At thirteen, Evie Berlinger discovered she was empathic when she knelt in the snow, pressing her hands against a dying boy’s chest, begging him to stay.
Now, Evie works as a concierge ‘fixer’ for an elite agency. She uses her empathic gift — feeling in her own body what others feel in theirs — to uncover what broke powerful, wealthy men and help them heal.
But as word of Evie’s success grows, so does attention from an obsessed “fan.” Notes that were friendly turn threatening. Personal items ‘vanish’—her perfume, jewelry. Strange “gifts” appear: a lock of hair on her pillow — wait — that’s HER hair.
Fearing for her family, the man she once loved, and the one she’s falling for now, Evie quits this job.
She hopes the fan’s game is over; done and played. She doesn’t realize that karma twists around them all — its price is not yet paid.
